H Green Pan is one of the few companies whose claims about being pfoa free are certified and not just a figment of their imagination, and that's why I bought it. The surface is quite rougher than usual, but this does not affect its non-stick character at all. I don't know how easily it scratches and I avoid experimenting, so I only use wooden and silicone utensils on it.
