Description

Simplicity in aesthetics rarely reflects complexity in design. The Fine Mesh feature of the Cooler Master extends across the entire front panel for open airflow, composes the structure of the case, and adds rigidity to its overall construction. Designed meticulously for unobstructed airflow, the MasterBox NR400 applies bold performance in a clean and simple design.

The MasterBox NR400 is a clean and simple design that focuses on airflow performance. A fine single-layer mesh makes up the entire front panel, achieving efficient airflow while also functioning as a dust filter.

The tempered glass side panel fits seamlessly into the chassis, securely and discreetly mounted with a tab and screw system.

So, I bought it for 54 euros and together with a Corsair tx 550 for 66 euros, the total cost reached 120. I believe it is one of the best combinations, as we are talking about a very high-quality case in terms of its materials, which comes with 2 pre-installed fans, of medium quality but fully functional, and a gold plus power supply.

The assembly is not so comfortable for a beginner like myself. The order in which everything will be connected requires attention, as the space available for your hands is noticeably smaller than what you are used to. I would advise you to buy at least a semi-modular power supply to have less trouble during assembly.

Inside, it fits a Cooler Master 212x cooler, barely but without any issues. I don't see any size issues with the graphics cards, in general, it seems ideal even for a mid-range build. It doesn't have much space for multiple hard drives, however, let's not forget that in modern builds we use NVMe drives for storage.

Other than that, the glass is flawless, the construction material is metal without imperfections, aesthetically it is beautiful, the size is functional, and the overall feeling you get is that the company has taken a step forward in terms of quality without raising the price too high. It is worth buying, definitely a value for money choice

Air Flow: I can't think of any way a case could have better airflow.
Dust filtration: I've had it for a few days and the dust on the front grille of the low-speed fan is much more noticeable. This shows that the filtration is working well and, of course, the grille is much easier to clean than the inside of the tower.
Appearance: Personally, I haven't seen a more beautiful case.
Build quality: Excellent metal construction, and the thick tempered glass plays a big role. Unlike other cases with plastic side windows that scratch easily, this one doesn't scratch at all.
Noise... Okay, I don't know how common it is to have such good airflow and also reduce the noise made by the components, but this case doesn't achieve both. If you have multiple disks and fans that are even slightly noisy, you will hear them. It doesn't reduce the noise almost at all.
Included fans: They are the same ones that the Q300L has. They are not bad, but if you want a silent build, you need to replace them.
Capacity: 4 slots for 2.5" SSD/HDD and 3 slots for 3.5" (4 for the version with ODD). What more can you ask for from a MicroATX case? Now listen to a secret: Right in front of the disk shelf at the bottom, there is a gap for the bottom fan to work efficiently, if installed. That's exactly where a fourth 3.5" disk fits, placed on the side and slightly visible from the front behind the metal mesh filter. But that doesn't bother me, on the contrary, I really like it, and it sits quite securely. Just if you use this trick, cut and put a strip of some kind of foam underneath because the metal surface underneath is not 100% flat, and maybe if nothing is put there, it may not be the best in the long run for the health of the disk.

Overall, I recommend it. It's the only case that, from my limited experience with good cases, I like more (for other reasons). Although it loses a lot in two important areas (limited disk slots and plastic side window), it's the Q300L.

Quite good and spacious case, its positives are the excellent airflow, the spaces it has, its construction quality, and finally the fact that it is minimal and beautiful according to my taste. Its negatives are that it does not have a front filter, so every two days it will collect dust from outside (this can be fixed by purchasing a filter) and finally that it is not so quiet since it has a mesh in the front, this can be easily solved by adjusting the fan RPM in the motherboard's BIOS. In the photo, one can see that with a full wired power supply, 2 HDDs, and extension cables, I managed to achieve quite good cable management without getting tired at all. Overall, it is a very good value for money case and I can't understand why more people haven't bought it.

First of all, in the photo it appears with a position for an external DVD (5.25), which is not true for this model but for the CoolerMaster Masterbox NR400 ODD. The paint quality is commendable and you will not find rough surfaces or poor quality cuts or scratches on the metal surfaces. The plastics are quite durable and do not have color deviations that can be detected with simple lighting. It includes 2x120mm fans, (not the same ones though), which do not include lighting. The fans it includes are average in terms of their ability to move air, although the entire front surface is perforated. It has a large magnetic filter on the top side and a cheap plain small (120) filter on the bottom side in the position of the power supply. The position for the DVD (5.25) exists on the inside because presumably the same case was used for both versions to reduce management costs. The transparent side includes glass and not acrylic with decent support. Overall, it is just a decent case that cannot justify a price above €65. For micro-atx and ITX motherboards, everything goes smoothly during assembly. If you are satisfied with 1xSSD, 1xHDD, and at least a semi-modular power supply, you are comfortable. With an ATX motherboard and something more than 1xHDD (e.g. cable extensions), the problems of fitting everything inside begin.

Note that this version of the case does NOT support a 5.25" front, so the front panel is solid and does not have the rectangular opening on top.

Incredible case. Made exclusively of steel and glass on the side.

The front panel can accommodate three 120mm fans (it also supports two 140mm, but it is clear that the intention is to use 120mm) and is entirely made of metal mesh. On top, it can fit two 120mm or 140mm fans (where the 140mm fans fit perfectly) with a removable magnetic filter if you use them for intake, and at the back, it has a 120mm fan with adjustable height to align it with the respective cooler. It can accommodate air cooling up to 165mm in height - I am using a Hyper 212 Black Edition.

It can hold two 2.5" drives on the PSU shroud with gaps at the back for hidden cable connection, and two more behind the motherboard tray. For all 2.5" drives, special rubber grommets and screws are included to mount them in the case without tools and to limit vibrations from any 2.5" HDDs. The bottom space for the PSU also includes a removable HDD cage that can hold up to three 3.5" HDDs, where two can be mounted in drawers and the third can be screwed to the top (So a total of up to 7 drives, four 2.5" and three 3.5"). This cage has three positions to choose between additional space for cables or support for up to a 240mm radiator in push-pull at the front. Although it has mounts for three 120mm fans at the front, it does not fit the corresponding radiator. In case you do use push-pull liquid cooling, it can accommodate a graphics card of approximately 250mm.

The side gaps for cable connection to the motherboard have rubber covers to tidy up the cables a bit more neatly. Of course, there is a gap for the CPU power cable on the top left and another opening slightly to the right, which do not have rubber covers. The front fans enjoy a gap for cable routing hidden by the black strip of the front panel so that no cables are visible there. There is also a similar gap hidden by the radiator if you set it up in push-pull to hide the cables from the inner fans. There are points to tie the cables with zip ties or simple ties in several places. The remaining space in the case openings covered by the PSU after installation is impressively sufficient even for the graphics card cable. Of course, the PSU has its own filter and can only be installed with the fan facing downwards - There is metal on top.

Essentially, I have absolutely no complaints about this case. The only cable that does not sit perfectly is the graphics card cable, but it still has a very good solution to handle it. In this case, I have achieved the cleanest cable management I have done in any PC out of the 7 I have built. The final result: http://imgur.com/a/VfIAikj

For its price, I believe you won't find a better case in terms of practicality or airflow. With all fans at the minimum speed, there is a slight breeze coming out of the case gaps. 10/10 for design, appearance, airflow, cable management, compatibility, and variety of options. I highly recommend it.

I bought it at a bargain price of €55.65 including shipping. The regular price of €70+ is a bit steep. It is a great choice for someone who wants a quality and minimalistic micro tower design, with excellent airflow thanks to the mesh front panel. It comes with 2 120mm fans and a tempered glass side panel. Despite its small size, it has plenty of space inside, and also has ample room for cable management at the back, with a variety of options to hide the power supply and disk cables. The build quality easily compares to cases that cost twice as much.
