  This is the second Ugreen product I have purchased and it seems that the company has excelled in the triptych: appearance-functionality-price.
  The appearance and design are exceptional for the price. Fortunately, it is not the cheap metal construction where if you are not careful, the thin metal will cut your hands... On the contrary, the case is plastic but nicely designed and the disk fits perfectly and adjusts easily. The case opens and closes easily with a simple push, without screws.
  The cable is short, as unfortunately almost always happens with these products.
  The speed is satisfactory for me. Of course, I have not yet tried different disks. A medium Patriot SSD worked at speeds around 350 MB/sec and for the backup I needed it for, it was great.
  The case is worth the money, with ease 5 stars.

  This specific Ugreen Hard Drive Case works perfectly with all capacities available in 2.5" hard drives. However, it is not possible to close the case with the sliding cover on 4TB and 5TB 2.5" drives. I tried it with partitioned drives, SSDs, and HDDs, but it seems that it does not support them, unlike other cases like Icy Box, Delock, and Fantec. It works flawlessly with a USB-C to USB-C cable, although I did not see very high speeds even with an SSD.

  What I understood is that for the price you pay, you are essentially paying for the controller/adapter from SATA to USB, as the entire construction is made of plastic without any trace of metal. It does not protect the drive you put inside, unless it is an SSD, which is already resistant to falls compared to a mechanical hard drive. Also, a major drawback is that the cable does not even reach 1 meter.

  Personally, I recommend it for use only with SSDs and for backing up important files at home, although an advanced user already has other solutions for this task (NAS). If you want to use it as an external storage device at work, it is preferable to use a card reader and change SD/microSD cards.

  Simply flawless, and durable. (It has been running for over 3000 hours). Purchased for 15 euros. I have had a very good experience with Ugreen in the past. So, I work with a disk using Ubuntu for work, switching between laptop and desktop EVERY DAY multiple times and for 9-12 hours a day. It works flawlessly every day for 9 months. I did not expect it to last so long. When you buy an external controller for a disk, you know that you will use it for 5-6 hours a week. (and they still break) I had it as a system disk working half a day every day and it didn't hesitate.

  Amazing product! UGREEN is a quality and emerging brand. Both the cables and chargers are top-performing. I tried this specific enclosure because the previous ADATA (see photo) did not fully recognize the enclosed SSD and did not allow SMART DATA execution from the disk (probably due to a strange USB-to-SATA bridge). The UGREEN solved my problem! It not only recognizes the specific SSD (it has even more margin as the enclosure specifications are 6 gbps), but its excellent USB-to-SATA bridge allows SMART DATA to pass through to Linux, as stated in the manufacturer's specifications! It also has a very nice operating LED indicator. The disk fits perfectly inside. The exterior is not "rugged," so I don't know what survival chances it would have in difficult falls.   It is truly Plug & Play. You open the lid, insert the disk, connect it to the PC, and that's it. I put in the disk from my PS4 that I removed to install an SSD, and it worked perfectly. I saw speeds of around 70m/s on average, which is the maximum for SATA 2. Overall, I am fully satisfied with this product, and no disk will be thrown away before it actually fails. It is made of plastic, but all similar disk cases are, so I wouldn't play ball with it, but I also wouldn't treat it like a gold disk with security around and layers everywhere when moving it. Just be careful about what you place on top of it and make sure it doesn't fall from any height, like a table. But as I said, these are things we do with all external disks, even from well-known companies.

  One thing that bothered me, and I don't know if it's the connection or the PC's fault, is that it would stop working when transferring a large amount of data, and it happened to me twice. I filled up my disk three times, and on both occasions, it stopped somewhere near the end of the transfer... I don't know what caused it, but I'm mentioning it so you are aware.
