80 Plus Gold Certification

The efficiency of the power supply is important because it directly affects your system's performance and your electricity bill. The efficiency rating does not reflect the quality or reliability of a power supply. It only reflects the unit's ability to transfer energy from the wall to your components. The higher the efficiency of a power supply, the lower the overall amount of power needed to run your system. The V SFX Gold series has an 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating, which means it has a guaranteed typical efficiency of 90%.

SFX-to-ATX Adapter

With the provided SFX-to-ATX bracket, you can instantly convert this unit from an SFX power supply to an ATX power supply. This makes this product the first Cooler Master power supply that can be used to power systems ranging from as small as mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards. Cooler Master's slogan is "Make It Yours" and with the nearly universal compatibility of the V SFX Gold with cases, you can use this power supply to build almost any system you want.

Silent Cooling

Two of the main advantages of a mini-ITX build are the reduced size requirements and reduced noise. The main cause of noise in a power supply is usually the fan. The V SFX Gold uses a 92 mm FDB fan, making it extremely quiet. With its small size, high efficiency, and excellent heat dissipation, the overall noise is kept to an absolute minimum.

*S.T.C.M Smart Thermal Control System, the fan will not spin until a certain core temperature is reached.

Fully Modular Design

A mini-ITX case means minimal space for everything. This not only reduces space for the power supply but also for the accompanying cables. That is why the V SFX Gold offers fully modular cabling. Use the absolute minimum in space for cable management by using the absolute minimum in cables. Connect only what you need for your system to maintain as much space as possible, leading to both improved airflow and better presentation.

    Connected to R7 3800X, RX 5600XT and it is completely silent. A bit difficult to fit in a small case, so I would recommend connecting all the necessary cables first and then placing it in the case, but the power supply doesn't give any trouble.

    The power supply provides power to the MSI 3080 Gaming Z Trio, Ryzen 5600x, and 9 Lian LI SL fans (these are the most power-hungry components, so I won't mention other components).

    I have absolutely no issues with performance, nor have I heard it working, and overall I have no complaints so far.

    I had concerns about which version they would send me, luckily they sent me the revised version (without the annoying fan curve).

    Overall, for my specs, I believe it is what it should be, with a little extra headroom for future upgrades, and the best value for money for an SFX power supply.
