If it had 3.5 stars I would put it for this reason. I haven't tried it in swimming but I don't take it off in the bathroom, you can call it waterproof!   For those looking for a "fancy" fashion smartwatch with a touch screen and various effects, don't get this because it's not like that... Go for Huawei (I had one), Garmin, etc.
  If you're looking for a COMPLETE sport watch, without a touch screen and unnecessary features but with many SPORT functions, accuracy, durability, and excellent POLAR software, with many parameters, get it with closed eyes...   Coming from Garmin watches (vivoactive 3, forerunner 735xt), I decided to try a Polar one. I can't understand the comments of the others who are satisfied with this watch. I am involved in CrossFit, swimming in a pool and in the sea, and running. Let's start.

  Positives:
  - Build quality
  - Aesthetically pleasing

  Negatives:
  - Terrible distance measurements (GPS). During running and in the sea, the GPS completely lost its signal. While swimming in the sea, it showed that I went out to the mainland and came back in!! During a run on a track, it showed that I went out of the field and came back in! I have uploaded photos.
  - Terrible measurements in the pool. At least 200-300 meters deviation each time in a 50m pool. In one training session where I swam a total of 1000m, it measured over 3000m. This is not deviation, it's CHAOS! I have also uploaded a photo.
  - Very user-unfriendly application. Very limited capabilities in creating a running workout on Polar Flow. It doesn't even have equipment to track the distance you run with your shoes. No comparison to Garmin's application, which makes everything easy.

  In no case is it worth its money. I sold it and went back to Garmin, and I won't leave there again

  I have been using the watch for 3 months mainly for swimming in both pools and the sea, as well as for running on the treadmill! Attention! The watch is not a smartwatch but an activity watch. It does not have a touchscreen or other smart functions, but for me, who use it a lot in water, it is an advantage because its buttons are of high quality and work perfectly in water. (In contrast, for example, with the Apple Watch which is completely unusable in water)
  1. The build quality is very good on the body, buttons, and strap. I do not have an opinion on the glass yet because it has not been hit or scratched.

  I have been using it for 3 months now for daily recording of functional/cross training workouts and a little bit of running/cycling.

  This specific watch is a sportwatch and not a smartwatch, so if someone wants to buy it for display, a bright screen with 100+ smart functions, voice control, etc., it's better to look elsewhere.
  But if someone needs a decent tool for recording workouts, heart rate, and sleep, it is in the right place.

  After a lot of research, I was curious about why Polar watches are priced around 300 euros while many have issues with screen brightness/clarity, lack of smart functions, no NFC for card payments, and similar features.

  The key is ultimately in the accuracy of workout/heart rate/GPS tracking, as well as the web interface provided by Polar, which allows you to see even more information about all the recordings made by the watch.

  Parenthesis, there is a guy on YouTube who compares basic smartwatch functions with corresponding medical devices (https://www.youtube.com/c/TheQuantifiedScientist), regarding 3 basic things: sleep, heart rate, and steps.

  I was amazed when I saw how inaccurate watches that are considered top of the line in the market and expensive like Galaxy, Garmin (not all), and even flashy affordable ones like Huawei/Amazfit are. Truly, for example, the new Galaxy Watch 4 is "useless" in terms of tracking and it will be a waste of money for someone to believe it is the perfect watch ever released by Samsung (and I have a Samsung phone, so I'm not biased towards the company in general). And the YouTuber doesn't seem to be biased towards any company or sponsored, he buys them himself and makes real reviews, or at least that's how it seems.

  Furthermore, Polar is one of the first and leading companies in heart rate monitoring, and it currently has the best heart rate monitor worldwide, the Polar H10, and for me, that was the most important thing, to have the best possible heart rate measurement during workouts and a good sleep tracking that comes as close to reality as possible because there are exceptions, we're not talking about perfection but something that you know at least measures things correctly with minor exceptions and doesn't show random results just to make you feel better for no reason.

  Continuing,
  the battery life is amazing, 5+ days with daily workouts.
  With GPS, it lasts around 5 hours if you have it enabled for exercise for one hour each day.
  Sleep tracking is decent, always in comparison with the review of the YouTuber mentioned above, who had reviewed the previous model, Vantage M (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhbjH07Q7jY&list=PLrpJQJ3tlvkmYFPohXJ68m1c6beH6T4qK&index=1).
  Heart rate tracking is one of the best on the market right now in terms of optical sensors, which always have some limitations by design compared to chest straps that have different functionality behind them (for more details, look up photoplethysmography, how it works, why it falls behind compared to electrocardiography, etc.).

  Wearing both the watch (VM2) and the chest strap (H10) and measuring the same exercise in different instances, I saw minimal deviations compared to a Galaxy Watch that my friend was wearing, set up with my own specs on my phone to avoid inaccurate measurements. Truly, it was like day and night, and the same was found by the YouTuber when he reviewed the Galaxy. And I take the galaxy just as an example because it is roughly in the same price range as the m2, there are other similar cases with expensive garmin that you can't even imagine.

  In conclusion,
  if the purpose of buying a watch is NFC, spotify, google maps, watching youtube videos or having a super LED screen, don't bother buying a polar watch, especially the m2, because you will be extremely disappointed.
  Personally, I don't mind its minimal design and I find the navigation with buttons much better than a touch screen, but that's just personal preference.
  It is comfortable, lightweight, and doesn't bother me at all during sleep compared to a huawei gt2 that I had, which was heavy and didn't even track properly.
  Also, the polar web service is decent, depending on each person's needs.
  The customer support is also good and provided by science technologies. The staff is friendly, I called them for some information when I bought it.
  The watch is designed in Finland but made in China, however, the Finnish company owns the entire factory and controls the end-to-end production of watches.

  We're not talking about titanium, cement, or diamond construction quality.
  It is mostly made of plastic, but for now, it doesn't seem to scratch easily and has endured some rough use. Only time will tell.

  It fits well on both small and larger wrists, with two corresponding straps included in the package. Obviously, it has its negative points (plastic casing, simple screen that is not very bright but clear in sunlight, syncing with the phone is sometimes slow and sometimes requires manual action, minimal smart functions, minimal number of built-in applications, and no support for 3rd party apps), but personally, I still consider it better because I have my phone for all those things.

  I hope I somehow helped and wrote something quite extensive because you see, watches like polar don't have a wide audience due to their price or beauty compared to the 100 euro huawei watches that everyone has bought, but if you dig deeper and see the differences, you understand why.

  In general, I believe that if someone wants to buy a watch just to use it as a phone extender, it's really a waste of money, at least in my opinion. But if they want to buy it to see how well they train, sleep, and how they can improve their daily life based on the measurements they see, as well as boost themselves, maybe they want to exercise more, I think it's worth it, even though 300 euros is 300 euros, especially nowadays.
  Also, if someone has the means and wants to spend more money to buy the vantage v2 or grit x pro, they should do it as long as they are going to use the extra features that these watches offer, such as mountain training, adventuring, etc., not just for a once a year hike because in all other aspects, the M2 has exactly what the more expensive models of the company have.

  Again, everyone buys what they want in the end, all the above is clearly a personal opinion and nothing more, everyone sees things differently based on their experiences, desires, and needs.

  I bought this specific product about a month ago and I have the following to tell you. First of all, I bought the polar because before buying the m2, I had the H10 transmitter and because I was very satisfied with the polar ecosystem, the polar flow, I said let's also get a watch from this company to have everything else like nightly recharge, my steps, to see my heart rate, and for recovery pro. Let's see them one by one then.
  Because I work in shifts, my sleep is whenever, sometimes I sleep in the afternoon, sometimes at night, sometimes in the evening, this watch from the beginning, as soon as you synchronize it, tells you how many hours you want to sleep daily, so I set it from 00:00 at night until 07:00 in the morning (which is impossible for me at least). The polar flow records your sleep whether it's in the afternoon, morning, or night, which really surprised me! (for some reason, I thought it would only measure the nighttime sleep). Now let's talk about the steps, which the watch records very accurately in the activity log, very satisfied with that. Heart rate measurement without using any sports activity is extremely accurate. Now, about the recovery pro, it has 4 indicators: detraining, maintaining, productive, and overreaching. I have reached all 4 levels and I have to say that they really work.
  Now let's talk about the measurements compared to the H10 transmitter, the difference in heart rate is about 1-2 beats lower than the H10, and for example, when I run 10 km with the transmitter, the watch may show 9.94 km, so there is very little to minimal deviation in terms of 1-2 beats and 6 meters when we talk about it. You can also synchronize the transmitter with the m2 and the watch will show you the measurements in detail and accurately.
  The programs it has inside are quite powerful, I would say, which it automatically generates, and they are the Strength, Cardio, and Supportive programs, which I really liked!
  Now, the battery, without using GPS, it lasts a week, and with 1 hour of activity per day using GPS, it lasts 3 days. The screen clarity is impeccable whether it's day or night.
  The synchronization is perfect with IOS devices, at least with iPhone, MacBook, and AirPods for listening to your music. You can choose from 8 watch faces, 4 in digital format and 4 in analog format.
  It also includes an additional women's strap in the package.
  The only negative thing I could mention is that it doesn't have Greek language, but again, it doesn't bother me much. I bought it on sale on Black Friday for 255 euros and I don't regret it at all, I am fully satisfied with this purchase.
