Exceptional value for money NVMe SSD of the 4th generation. A one-way street in storage with fast speeds. The speeds are close to half of the expensive Gen 4, but for someone who will use it to store their games or other files, it is the best option currently available at an amazing price.
It has the speed, it has the name, it has the capacity, it has the price, and it has the availability.
Now, if it doesn't reach the exact promised speed that is stated and is slightly slower in benchmarks, it doesn't personally bother me - okay, instead of the expected 15-17 seconds (as advertised) to cold boot, it takes around 20... big deal! From a SATA M2 or a regular SSD, it is still more responsive everywhere!
Overall, the system seems responsive, I don't know if it makes sense anymore to obsess over it, since it is already quite fast anyway!
We are now at the point of diminishing returns where for 90% of potential buyers... it will do the job perfectly! - For those who are concerned with measurements and 2-3 seconds here and there... they should try something with a slightly higher price!
UPDATE end of October 2023: I bought it in early February 2023 and while performing basic desktop functions (internet/music/videos), it stayed with me after 8.5 months - without even filling half of its capacity! And I had bought it for reliability, but in the end, it left me in less time... and I even had an additional heatsink on top of the M2 port to help with the heat!
It is a very honest SSD. I got it as a second Nvme. Due to bandwidth, it works in x2 mode, with 1600mb/sec Read/Write. As hot storage, it is great for editing and transferring photos compared to HDDs with 100mb/sec. To work on my Z270 mobo, I had to cancel a Sata port. Bandwidth issue, of course. In newer systems with more BW, I believe it can work at the speeds the company claims. In any case, do not think that just because Samsung is ahead, other companies are bad. We are talking about Kingston, not some unknown Chinese brand.
Also, a great value for money purchase if you put it in an NVme enclosure as an external hard drive.
Unfortunately, one has to do a whole research and learn the differences in specs in ssd/m.2 technologies, which, fortunately perhaps, are reflected in the price. There is a serious reason for the price differences of m.2 for example. And it's not just about transfer speed. It's also about their expected lifespan, etc. This particular one is one of the cheapest because it loses in all aspects. With the worst "clogging" it gets when you write a lot of data where the speed can drop below 10Mb/s (maximum I have seen and remember is 550-600MB/s)
Normal price for the gb. It is a bit sensitive to temperatures, but I don't know if it's a general issue with M.2 drives. I have it in the back slot of the motherboard, and during transfers of large files, the speed gradually decreases (not to terrifying/HDD levels). Other than that, it's fine.
It is the 2nd NV2 that I buy mainly because of the price - it is the cheapest PCIe 4.0 from a reliable company. I have the 1st one for 9 months and it is excellent.

This disk is trouble, cheap but not worth the hassle as soon as it starts to fill up more than 20% problems begin. 100% Utilization with no data transfer and freezing of windows explorer and think about it is not a system disk but a storage one. For your own good stay away. I have tangled and I have to figure out how to untangle.
Purchased for 56€ final price 2 months ago, the 1TB version. Installed with a PCIe to m.2 adapter in the PCIe slot under my GPU and hosts games with long loading times (currently BeamNG.drive and Hogwarts Legacy). Note that the PCIe is version 3 while the disk is version 4. However, the difference is noticeable compared to the 870 QVO that hosted these 2 games before. The disk is cooled by the Be Quiet MC1 and so far the temperatures I have seen are satisfactory with idle at 26 degrees and after a 3-hour gaming session at 38 degrees. Room temperature at 20.5 degrees during measurements (winter). I will update the review if anything changes. Recommended with 1000!
Edit 21/07/24: Now it hosts my entire Gaming library (Euro Truck Simulator 2, BeamNG.drive, SnowRunner, Hogwarts Legacy, Farming Simulator 22) which occupies about 240GB = approximately 1/4 of the total capacity (931GB). Temperature after an 8-hour gaming session in Hogwarts Legacy at 41 degrees with room temperature at 28 degrees.
Conclusion: very satisfied and I recommend it without hesitation!
This disc did not work from the beginning! I connect it and the computer does not start. I disconnect it and everything is fine. I have requested a replacement.
I have had it for a month, and it has fully satisfied me. In terms of speed, it is very good, very easy to install on my gaming laptop. If I need more space, I would definitely get it again as a second hard drive!!
It was inserted into the PS5, which displayed a message that it is slower than recommended, but as far as I have used it, I haven't noticed any delay. I imagine that demanding games may potentially have issues in the future, so in that case, I will install them on the original SSD.
It concerns the 500GB.
It was purchased to replace an old Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB (bootable) which seemed to be dying...
Unfortunately, in my current PC installation, the M.2 drives are not recognized as PCI Express but as SATA.... so the speeds I saw are reduced as shown in the photo.
If I manage to upgrade my system :)) and see improvement, I will inform...

Finally, I made a small upgrade and the drive was recognized as PCIe.
The performance skyrocketed as shown in the second photo.!! Well worth it!!
It's fine, but don't expect a continuous write speed of 3,500 mb/s, but that's the case for all SSDs. Overall, I am very satisfied with how it runs Windows and games. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this.
*Notes: It doesn't have a write speed of 2,800 mb/s, it has 2,100, but it's not that important. 1 terabyte is much better than 500 gb if you want to play games.
It has not shown any decrease in performance in the 10 months that I have had it, being filled up to 1/3 (2 tb). It is installed in a PCI 3.0 slot with an operating system. Compared to an external SAMSUNG SSD T7 1 tb, it writes at 950 mb/s, while on the same one it writes around 650-700 mb/s, obviously due to limitations of the T7 or the type-c connection. Maybe it would have been slightly faster on PCI 4.0, but I don't think I would notice any differences
I don't have much to say. This specific SSD is very fast, it opens Windows in less than 10 seconds and applications, except for games, in less than 2 seconds. As for gaming, it doesn't disappoint, it is very fast. The only thing that bothered me is that it is not exactly 1TB in storage, but slightly less (in my case it is 930GB). At this price, it is definitely worth the money.
I hope it proves to be more reliable than its sibling model that I bought for 2TB and broke in the 8th month. It is fast, it is a budget series, so keep that in mind!
Very good disk. It has not shown any problems so far (I have had it for a year). I got it to replace my laptop's. If you search and read reviews, you will see that it is a very good value for money, especially at the price it has dropped now.
Unfortunately, I have the same experience as another buyer, where performance and stability decrease over time. I purchased it at the end of February 2023. I have it for storing large games like RDR2, Cyberpunk, BF 1, V, 4, etc. In recent weeks, RDR2 and War Thunder have continuous stutters, with the usage in the task manager staying stuck at 100%, while the GPU is at good temperatures (~65C). Other times we have crashes to the desktop. The BF games either don't open or freeze during the loading of a match.
I transferred RDR2 and WT to a second SSD that I have (Samsung Evo) and they run without any problem. (I uninstalled and reinstalled WT, while for RDR2, I changed its folder from the launcher). Unfortunately, the problem continues even if I change the NVME port on the motherboard (MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus Motherboard ATX with AMD AM4 Socket).
It is, I believe, the best NV2 SSD currently available in terms of speed and reliability. As for the speed, it is as expected and the SSD will not give you any problems over time. It is still the best budget option so far and it is worth the money. Get it without hesitation
Don't expect miracles in terms of speed if you come from an SSD. But for its price, capacity, and the fact that it supports PCI Express 4.0, it's worth the money. Hopefully, it will withstand the test of time.
It works well but for a short period of time. Also, my motherboard is gen3 so it doesn't show the promised speeds. However, there is backward compatibility. Time will tell if there are any future issues.
I bought 2 of the 2TB. One for the PS5 and one for the laptop. Simple things, guys. With 80 euros per piece, you get 2TB (1.8 to be exact). It's not a Samsung Pro, but it's fast. Very fast. Great value for money. GEN 4. And on the PS5 with the Be quiet MC1 cooler, you have as much space as you want. Don't go for a more expensive M.2, this one works for everything and it's worth it. I'm thinking of getting a third one and turning it into an external drive with a case. Time will tell the rest
I replaced (upgraded) the Samsung EVO NVMe Gen 3 500GB of my Lenovo Yoga laptop (2019 Ryzen 5). The one I replaced it with (the Samsung) is noticeably faster (i.e., boots up and responds faster) and runs on the exact same operating system (the old disk was cloned onto the new one, so it's the exact same operating system without a clean format). I haven't done any measurements, but this is the general feeling and internet tests between the two disks say the same. Personally, I got it for the extra capacity, but the speed is also better.
It's a Gen 4, which, from what I see in tests, is not the fastest Gen 4 (if your motherboard supports it), but compared to Gen 3 (which was the old one I had), it easily outperforms it. Of course, my laptop supports Gen 3, to which it responds very well (as I said, it's fast).
As for the "thermal load," I'm not sure. It might be slightly "warmer" than the old one (not much), but so far, it hasn't been a concern. I'm not entirely sure, as it's something I have in mind and maybe I pay more attention to it than the old one, which is why I judge it this way. But, as I said, it's not something bothersome (e.g., you don't feel the keyboard getting hot on top). Inside my laptop, it doesn't have any significant cooling fans (just a metal plate on the bottom plastic cover), and yet it seems to be doing fine. For a desktop, it's good to add a cooling fan to keep it cooler (it probably helps it live longer, I imagine).
As for "durability," we don't have an opinion yet (we just installed it in July 2023). When we know (after 3 years), the model will have changed to a newer one. I would like it to have a longer warranty period (3 years).
The ultimate VFM in 2TB for Steam library and general storage or simply a burner drive for continuous writing and caching of applications that wear out disks. It's a bit slow for an OS drive, but it will work fine on a motherboard with PCIe 3.0. For PCIe 4.0+ motherboards, look for something else.

Παιδιά μια σημαντική ερώτηση. Γράφετε κάποιοι ότι ο ssd τα έπαιξε μετά από πχ 8 μήνες. Θα μπορούσε κάποιος ή κάποιοι να μας πουν την εμπειρία από την εγγύηση που κανονικά έχουν αυτές οι μονάδες; Δεν γνωρίζω ακριβώς για την Kingston αλλά κανονικά εντός ΕΕ έχουμε σίγουρα 2 χρόνια εγγύηση.
Σε όσους είχαν πρόβλημα, ποια ήταν η ανταπόκριση για την αντικαστάσταση; Αν θέλετε εξηγείστε λίγο και από που αγοράστηκαν αν δηλ ήταν επίσημη εισαγωγή (δεν ξέρω αν υπάρχει καν, για να είμαι ειλικρινής) ή παράπλευρη εισαγωγή από κάποιο κατάστημα και πως ανταποκρίθηκαν... Μήπως κάποιος αγόρασε απευθείας και από το εξωτερικό; Τι συνέβη σε εκείνη την περίπτωση;

Η εγγύηση είναι το λιγότερο που σε ενδιαφέρει απο την στιγμή που χάνεις σημαντικά αρχεία, μένεις χωρίς μηχάνημα για 10+ ημέρες και όταν σου έρθει η αντικατάσταση θα πρέπει να φας 1 ημέρα να εγκαθιστάς προγράμματα εκ νέου. Ο συγκεκριμένος δίσκος παρόλο που τον είχα θεωποιήσει πριν 2 χρόνια, είναι αναξιόπιστος για main δίσκος και απαγορευτικό αν το ο υπολογιστής είναι δουλειάς. Μόνο ως backup και αν...για να είναι αχρειαστες οι εγγυήσεις στα συγκεκριμένα προϊόντα!
